About this cottage rental
Located in a tranquil position in the grounds of the owner’s impressive 17th century farmhouse and 300 acre working dairy farm, this property is perfect for guests in search of some peace and quiet. Walkers, cyclists and horse riders alike will be spoilt for choice between the Quantock and Blackdown Hills Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, while the local pub is a popular choice for those wishing to stay closer to home. Other nearby attractions include Oake Manor Golf Club, The West Somerset Railway, Taunton Racecourse and an array of National Trust properties and gardens.
On the ground floor, an impressive open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner features an exposed brick wall, exposed beams and bi-folding doors opening onto the courtyard. Prepare meals in the contemporary kitchen, which contains an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and microwave, before dining at the large table overlooking the courtyard. At the end of a long day, the cosy lounge area features Sky TV, a DVD player and iPod dock. A cupboard in the hallway houses the washing machine and tumble dryer for those wishing to do laundry during their stay. Also on the ground floor is a double bedroom with a TV, patio door to the courtyard and en-suite shower room with WC. On the first floor you will find two further double bedrooms, both with TVs and contemporary en-suite shower or bathrooms. All bedrooms are light and airy and feature zip-and-link beds, which can be made into twins on request.
Outside, the private enclosed courtyard with garden furniture offers a sunny spot for a family BBQ or relaxing evening in the hot tub. There is a separate lawn area to the side of the house that offers a perfect play area for children and dogs alike.
