Venture just 2.5 miles to Portreath Beach, where you can picnic on the sand, dip in the sea and take to the waves with your surfboard. Walkers can also follow a section of the South West Coast Path from here. or head less than 1 mile along the long-distance footpath to the scenic Carvannel Downs, or 3.5 miles to Porthtowan Beach. Godrevy (8 miles), and Perranporth (10.5 miles) are also popular for swimming and surfing. Art lovers should head to vibrant St Ives (17.5 miles), to visit the Tate Gallery and Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden, while Pendennis Castle (12.5 miles) will please history enthusiasts.
