Cottage in West Devon District

About this cottage rental
Dating back to 1854, the stone cottage combines a remarkable setting with a welcoming interior, making it easy to see why it was chosen as a filming location. Stepping into the well equipped country kitchen, the first thing you’ll notice is the wonderful outlook over the water; it’s fully equipped for relaxed and efficient holiday cooking. The open plan dining/lounge area features large bay windows and the added comfort of a wood burner for cooler evenings, while a second cosy lounge is perfect for settling in with a book, enjoying river views, or unwinding watching the Smart TV. Upstairs, the cottage sleeps four in two inviting bedrooms overlooking the river, one super-king-size and one king-size, with one en-suite bathroom and the other served by a separate shower room. Both rooms have zip-and-link beds so they can be arranged as 3' and 2'9" twin beds on request.
Outside, the nearby river provides a peaceful backdrop when sitting in the enclosed gardens, where cinematic views and the charming Bathing Hut create an idyllic spot for morning coffee. Guests are welcome to explore the network of walks through the estate’s 55 acres of Repton-designed woodland gardens, including Chauffeurs Walk, Lime Avenue and Wisteria Walk. Ample parking is provided on the Quey across from the cottage.
