About this house rental
This stone-built, detached cottage offers the perfect base for up to six guests planning adventures around the Northumberland coast and countryside. This Grade II listed cottage was once the village blacksmiths forge and carpenters’ workshop still with original features. With two enclosed gardens and open-plan living, families and groups of friends will find plenty of space to unwind between their days out. Step out each morning and find yourself in the heart of historic Bamburgh; uncover cosy eateries and pubs, visit the village’s famous castle, and spend the day on golden Bamburgh Beach (all within 0.5 miles). Discover the surrounding Northumberland Coast National Landscape as you stride out towards Seahouses (3.5 miles) and continue along the coast path to reach Beadnell Bay (7.5 miles) with its gorgeous beach and selection of eateries, pubs and shops. A half-hour drive takes you to Alnwick (17.5 miles) – visiting Alnwick Castle and Gardens is a must. Another local landmark is the Holy Island of Lindisfarne (16 miles).
