The studio sleeps two in one bed and has air conditioning, a full kitchen, a private lanai, and a washer and dryer. Back at the complex, two pools, tennis courts, and barbecue areas are ready for a lower-key afternoon. Restaurants and shops along South Kihei Road are close enough to make dinner an easy call. For a couple that wants Maui to feel relaxed rather than over-scheduled, this is a well-placed place to land.



The Space:

The space is made for two, with one bed, one bath, air conditioning, a full kitchen, and a washer and dryer. The private lanai gives you somewhere to sit outside before heading out or after returning from the beach. Ceiling fans and cable TV support a comfortable evening when the sun has done its work.

Guests at Kihei Akahi enjoy two shared pools, tennis courts, and barbecue grills on the landscaped grounds. Kamaole Beach Park II is directly across South Kihei Road, an easy walk from the complex. Elevator access and on-site parking are available.



The Neighborhood:

At Kihei Akahi, Kamaole Beach Park II is directly across South Kihei Road and Kamaole I is about a half mile north. That puts two classic South Kihei beach stops into a day that does not need much driving. Cafe O'Lei and Moose McGillycuddy's are within a short stroll, while Coconut's Fish Cafe and the Kinaole Grill Food Truck make an easy takeout plan. On the grounds, two pools, tennis courts, and barbecue areas are there when you want to stay nearby.



Getting Around:

Kahului Airport is about 20 to 30 minutes away, an easy drive down Maui's sunny south shore. A rental car is recommended to make the most of Kihei's many beaches, shops, and restaurants spread along the coast. Some stretches near South Kihei Road are walkable to dining and shopping, while beaches are often just minutes away. Parking is typically available on site, in lots, or along nearby streets.
