My lovely Kihei Akahi condo, features a cozy 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom unit with a stunning ocean view! It’s a clean, peaceful place with a lanai that offers a beautiful ocean view. The condo has been lovingly remodeled and decorated in a Hawaiian style, complete with artwork from local artists, so you’ll find everything you need to unwind. Come and experience the Aloha spirit of Maui and enjoy life!
This condo is perfect for special people like you who love the luxury of sipping your first cup of coffee on the lanai, watching the sky and ocean change colors, smelling the plumeria, and listening to the birds. Or, you can enjoy a Maui sunset with a Mai Tai before a romantic moonlight walk on the beach.
The fully equipped kitchen lets you whip up your favorite meals if you’re feeling adventurous, or you can stroll a short distance to some of the best restaurants and shops in Kihei. Wailea is just a five-minute drive away for more shopping and dining.
Located on the 4th floor of the C building in Kihei Akahi, just 100 yards from the soft sands and warm waters of Kamaole Beach II, you can relax on the beach, snorkel, boogie board, or body surf. The tropical breeze naturally cools the condo when you open the windows. Plus, it’s not near the elevator, so you’ll enjoy a quiet, restful sleep.
The unit includes beach towels, mats, an umbrella, chairs, and a cooler for your use. If you enjoy walking, a path along the beach connects to the Wailea resort area. There’s also an activity desk at the complex to help you plan activities like luaus, Molokini trips, and more. Since I live nearby, I have a guest book with some of my favorite Maui activities, restaurants, snorkeling spots, and beaches.
The Kihei Akahi tennis and pickleball court opens at 7:00 a.m., so you can get in a game early. Golf is available at one of six world-class courses within a 5-10 minute drive.
I take great pride in keeping the condo in excellent condition, focusing on both its aesthetic appeal and cleanliness. Smoking is not allowed inside or on the lanai, and pets are not permitted.
Important Notice:
During a severe storm in March 2026, a sinkhole opened directly in front of the condo complex. The county is currently working on repairs, which are scheduled to be completed in September or October 2026. The sinkhole is not visible from the condo.
While the repairs are underway, there may be intermittent noise. Access to the complex is currently closed from the north, but open from the south. Otherwise, the beach is open, as are restaurants and businesses. Past guests have not reported any issues with this situation.

We enjoyed a great stay at Berney's condo! It was very clean, cute ocean mural, bamboo furniture, everything you need to make meals in the kitchen, laundry machine if you need it, ac if you need it (we had such a fantastic tradewind we never needed the ac!) Nice big shower always hot water. We appreciated using the beach chairs, towels and cooler. I would suggest a dish strainer for hand washed dishes as we just hand washed the few dishes we used but we just let them air dry in the clean dishwasher so really no problem. We really appreciated the warm Aloha spirit from Bernie! He was very responsive to our questions and gave us great tips for our trip to beautiful Maui! Road to Hana, Black Beach, Pipiwai trail, waterfalls, beautiful beaches and snorkeling with the Honu's,best cinnamon buns ever( worth getting in line for!) And to make our trip more magical going on an outrigger canoe with Berney's club! It was so fun and great! Mahalo Berney for such an awsome canoe adventure and great stay at your condo! We are looking forward to the next Maui trip!!! John & Pam B

Berney’s place was very clean and cozy, have nice balcony ocean view to watch sunset. The kitchen has everything you needed for quick meals, saved us lots of time and money, we got to enjoy local poke with our own freshly cooked rice. No AC in the bedroom, but if you open the window in bedroom and the living room, breeze make it comfy to sleep. Maui had tons of drain flies recently, Berney was very responsive for any issue.

Our host, Berney, was very accommodating for early check-in & helped us with the process of ending our stay early due to severe weather. The location was perfect for access to the beach & lots of eateries, grocery stores etc. Berney's communication was excellent & very helpful. Great host!

Pros: across from beach, good pre stay communication with host. There was a view of the sunset.
Cons: place smaller than pictures (especially living room)showed. The mirror in picture makes it look bigger. The key code was old and difficult to use. It took us half an hour to secure the key when we left. The host was not there for checkout issues. The place was funkier than we thought. The patio is very small and best for one person to look at the view of ocean. In a busy part of Kihei. The bed was soft after 2 nights. The air flow was less than optimal as the living room and window wind did not directly get to bedroom. The host requested that we not use the AC, in the "Guidebook" which seemed odd with the airflow issues.
