About this house rental
Bring the whole crew to a private Kailua-Kona setting where the day can start at Magic Sands Beach, just about five minutes away, and end around the firepit with Kailua Bay glowing at sunset. The main house and separate ohana sleep up to eight across three bedrooms, giving a family or two couples room to be together without being on top of one another. Downtown Kona is about eight minutes away for dinner, supplies, and a wander along Alii Drive, while the Walua Trail is within walking distance. Back home, private lanais and a gazebo invite slow breakfasts, grilled dinners, and the kind of outdoor time that makes a Hawaii trip feel less scheduled. Air conditioning, a full kitchen, and washer and dryer make the stay easy to live in. A thoughtful choice for families and friends who want shared Kona days with a little breathing room.
The Space:
This 1,324-square-foot home pairs a two-bedroom, one-bath main house with a separate private ohana studio that adds a bedroom and bath. In total, there are three bedrooms, four beds, and two baths for up to eight guests. Custom cabinetry and a comfortable living area give the main home a polished, relaxed feel. Air conditioning, a full kitchen with dishwasher, and washer and dryer keep longer beach days uncomplicated.
Guest Access:
This Kailua-Kona property offers a private entrance, a shared fire pit, and garden grounds between the main house and ohana. Guests can relax outdoors on the patio, with the beach and Kona shopping close by.
The Neighborhood:
Kailua-Kona gives you the sunny, easygoing side of the Big Island. Follow Alii Drive for coffee, local plates, and shoreline views, then spend time at Magic Sands or snorkel at Kahalu'u Beach Park. The harbor, Kamakahonu Beach, and Hulihe'e Palace add history to a beach day. It is a practical, relaxed base for families who want water time, good food, and room to roam without the pace of a big resort.
Getting Around:
Kona International Airport is about 10 to 15 minutes away, making arrival simple. A rental car is recommended so you can explore the Kona Coast at your own pace. Downtown Kailua-Kona's shops, restaurants, and oceanfront Ali'i Drive are often within walking distance or a short drive, with beaches, snorkeling spots, and grocery stores close by. Parking is generally available on site or nearby, whether street or lot.
