About this apartment rental
Watch the Pacific turn gold from your dining table, then walk out for a last look from the mini-lanai. This remodeled second-floor condo is made for a couple or small family of four who want Kailua-Kona close at hand. Honl's Beach, a local surf spot, is walkable, as are the shops, markets, restaurants, and easygoing energy of Kailua Village just off Ali'i Drive. Spend the morning on the sand, take a scenic drive south to snorkel at Kahalu'u Beach Park, and return for a swim in the complex pool or dinner from the shared barbecue area. The open, light-filled space includes a full kitchen, air conditioning, and washer and dryer, so beach days stay simple. Easy access to Kuakini Highway is a useful bonus when Ali'i Drive gets busy. It is a sunny, uncomplicated Kona stay for a small family or two friends.
The Space:
This remodeled second-floor home brings Pacific views into an open plan filled with natural light. A full kitchen handles breakfast and beach snacks, and the dining table doubles as a sunset seat. Step out to the mini-lanai for the wide ocean outlook. One bedroom, one bath, two beds, air conditioning, and an in-home washer and dryer make the 571-square-foot layout easy for up to four.
Guest Access:
This Kona Mansions home offers a private entrance and access to the building's shared pool, with a single level layout for easy living. A lit path leads to the entrance, and the property sits within walking distance of the beach and Kailua Village.
The Neighborhood:
Kailua-Kona runs along the sunny west side of the Big Island, where Ali'i Drive follows the water past small beaches, coffee stops, and the historic center of Kailua Village. Browse the farmers market, watch boats come and go at Kailua Pier, or make a beach day of nearby Honl's Beach. South of town, Kahalu'u Beach Park is a favorite for reef snorkeling. It is an easy base for families who want beach time, local food, and a real Kona evening within reach.
Getting Around:
Kona International Airport is about 10 to 15 minutes away, making arrival simple. A rental car is recommended so you can explore the Kona Coast at your own pace. Downtown Kailua-Kona's shops, restaurants, and oceanfront Ali'i Drive are often within walking distance or a short drive, with beaches, snorkeling spots, and grocery stores close by. Parking is generally available on site or nearby, whether street or lot.
Other Things to Note:
A portion of rental proceeds goes to Hawaii Land Trust. The shared pool is located 500 feet from the condo. There is no elevator in this building. Please note that due to the high cost of electricity on the island, guests are encouraged to conserve energy and only use the air conditioning when absolutely necessary. This property is managed by Heavenly Vacations.
