Apachetas MachuPicchu

Staff was very helpful. They picked me up from train and helped me secure In-person Machu picchu Tickets on the way to the hotel. Clean basic room good value. Central to everything.

The location was central to everything.

Previous comments about the noise are not exaggerated. From 5am-midnight, you will hear practically everything happening in the hotel building and the buildings next door. I’m not normally bothered by noise. But, this was very noisy. Also, the only way to get any air in the room is by opening the windows to the hallway while you sleep, which further affects the noise volume. Not to mention, because of the temps we could only sleep with a sheet or nothing at all… which felt awkward when we needed to have the windows to the hallway open. I’ll also mention that the first glimpse of breakfast gave us the ick. A tub of scrambled eggs. A tub of chopped fruit. On an untidy table with cleaning materials. That said, the staff were friendly. And they were kind enough to hold our bags for use on the day we did Macchu. And they spent a lot of time with the family in front of us to help answer questions about the area.
