Dream house

Out of all of my stays so far, Bahtgan's guesthouse has to be one of the top ones. Not only were the bedroom, kitchen and bathroom clean, spacious and exactly as described, but the location was phenomenal (just a quick 10 minute drive to the gates of Eco Park). What really made his guesthouse stand out was not just the amenities (amazing as described previously), but Bahtgan and his family. They are one of the kindest and most hospitable people I have met. I truly felt like not just his guest, but a part of his family. I was incorporated with his family breakfast. When plans fell through for an early hike to the waterfalls (due to inclement weather damaging the roads), Bahtgan took it on himself to find contingency plans for me (showed me how to tame a horse as well as introduced me to a traditional Kazakhstan beverage). To add a cherry on top of everything, he also drove me back to Almaty (as he was tending to business matters there). I have never had any host go above and beyond like Bahtgan and his family. I will be forever grateful for the kindness and care they showed me during my one-night stay with them. For those reading this review, I would highly recommend booking their guesthouse
