Downtown Nest Apartments & Parking

Lamija was AMAZING! She has a newborn baby and yet somehow managed to be so incredibly attentive and lovely. She gave loads of great recommendations and even gave us a little souvenir when we left! The apartment was super clean and huge! Amazing value for money and we had everything we could need - fridge, smart TV, cooker, dining table etc. There was free parking in the driveway so very safe and a huge plus because it’s a very central location. It was right next to the old town and also the yellow fortress which is gorgeous for sunset.

I liked pretty much everything about this apartment, particularly the host, Lamia :) She made my stay an absolute pleasure. From the moment I booked it, she's been very responsive - helping me to get there and welcoming me. Even if it's a matter in the early morning, she attentively responds. When I actually arrived to Sarajevo, she called a cab for me at the airport (in case you can't take the airport bus). Cabs accept cash and cards too. It could be a bit tricky getting there by cab/car even when following maps but Lamia called and gave directions. She offered to help me with payment because I carried no cash on me at first. I was able to exchange the money from old town and pay her back later. She kindly shared with me all the recommended spots to visit and restaurants to try. Old town (bascarsija) is just 5 minutes away on foot. Yellow Fortress is 3 minutes away. I enjoy the uphill walk and that's why I booked it! It's pretty steep getting to/from the apartment, so if you have a car (parking available) or feel athletic, then it won't be an issue at all. Although the path follows a wide graveyard (very common in Bosnia) most of the way downward, it's very safe to walk late evening - lampposts all around. People leave their doors open. The apartment itself is squeaky clean. I especially loved the scent of fresh sheets and laundry when I first got inside this spacious and well-lit apartment. You can open the side window overlooking trees. I would definitely love to come back and see Lamia, who always smiles and laughs. Very highly recommend staying there!

My only wish was to install a bidet in the toilet. That would make things a lot easier. Most toilets in Bosnia have bidets.

The apartment was exactly as shown in the photos—sparkling clean, spacious for a couple, and equipped with a full kitchen and a small fridge (even though we didn’t get a chance to use them). Finding the property can be a bit tricky, but our host, Lamija, was incredibly accommodating and guided us right to it. In this part of town, having free parking is an absolute blessing! It’s located very close to the Yellow Fortress, and if you enjoy walking like we do, the city center is just a few minutes away. We absolutely loved Lamija’s restaurant recommendations and appreciated how available she was for anything we needed. She even gave us a small souvenir when we left, which was a very thoughtful touch. We also appreciate her effort in trying to find us a weighing scale. :-) Highly recommended!
