Balcony of Sarajevo

It was a beautiful home, high on the Hill and had an incredible view of the city. Particularly special at sunset, and listening to the the prayers from the Mosques and church bells in the city below.

Location was close to the center but tricky. The are two roads, the second one got me absolutely lost one time but I made it, make sure you memorise exactly which road to take and which stairs :)))

Beliggenheden.

Vi bookede lejligheden ud fra, at der var to soveværelser. Da vi kom, var der kun ét tilgængeligt, da det andet blev brugt til skrald og opmagasinering. Generelt var interiøret slidt, der var ikke gardiner til at trække for, for natten.

We had an amazing stay at this apartment. The view was absolutely stunning and sitting out on the balcony at sunset was so relaxing. The apartment was everything you’d expect and more. It was clean, cosy and well equipped. It has a small kitchen area, a large bedroom and living room, and a lovely new toilet/shower. Everything was comfortable and made us feel at home throughout our stay. What made the experience better was our host Adnan. He is so friendly and welcoming, and went above and beyond to help us, including taking us to the station for our trip to Mostar and also giving us a ride to the airport. It made everything so much more convenient and saved us a lot of hassle during our stay. The city itself is beautiful and we will definitely be coming back. The food was incredible, and there are local shops a short distance nearby where you can easily get food, drinks, and fresh bakery items.

The only potential downside is the apartment is located up a very steep hill, around 15-20 minute walk from the old town. It was ok for us but may not be ideal for families with young children or for anyone who may have mobility issues. Definitely worth the view and good to burn off all the amazing and delicious food we ate.
