St Kilda West has the feel of a suburb that got most of the benefit of being next to St Kilda without most of the noise. The streets are quieter, the beach is a shorter walk from the apartments than on the main strip, and Albert Park Lake is ten minutes on foot for a proper morning walk. The cafes and restaurants of Acland Street are twelve minutes away when you want them, and Fitzroy Street is a similar distance.
Albert Park is a particular strength of this location. The lake circuit is a popular run and walk, the café scene around it is good, and the Formula 1 Grand Prix circuit borders the park - which makes the property an excellent base in March if that is the plan. During race weekend, parking in the area is at a premium and this property's free options represent a meaningful saving.
Route 12 tram stops directly in front of the apartment and runs to the Melbourne CBD in under 30 minutes. Bus 606 stops a minute's walk away and runs to Port Melbourne and Elsternwick. A car is practical for day trips and the free parking makes returning straightforward.
