About this house rental
Gelskov is a historic estate dating from 1700/1917, owned by a noble family since 1773. The main house was built in 1917 in a refined and beautiful neoclassical architectural style, while the wing is the original main house built in the 1700s. Throughout the estate, the property is furnished with a large, private collection of French and Nordic antiques and curiosities. Gelskov Estate, which is a fully equipped private home, is rented out only as a whole to groups, so you have the entire estate to yourselves. Everything you need during your stay is provided here. As guests, you have access to a fully equipped, non-commercial kitchen.
A short drive away are sandy beaches, a golf course, and the archipelago with several small local ferry routes. South Funen offers a landscape well-suited for hiking and running enthusiasts, with a 220 km continuous and marked route on the Archipelago Trail. The 75 km South Funen horseback riding trail and excellent roads for road cyclists are also located a short distance from the estate. Cultural attractions include the Fåborg Museum, Egeskov Castle, the Heartland Festival, and Brandts Klædefabrik, in addition to countless local artisans and excellent dining options.
All beds can be separated from a double bed into two single beds upon request. Discounts are available for longer stays.
