About this house rental
Gelskov is a historic building from 1700/1917 owned by a noble family since 1773. The barn is the original main house built in the 1700s. The barn is very cozy and suitable for smaller groups. It is furnished with a private collection of French and Nordic antiques and curiosities. It faces well to the corners of the world, so there is a pleasant influx of light from the east and west. The wing adjoins the original manor house kitchen, which today serves as a dining room for guests of the main house. Occasionally, by appointment, the dining room can also be used by guests in the barn, but otherwise there is a dining area both in the small kitchen and in the living room.
A short drive away are sandy beaches, a golf course and the archipelago with several small, local ferry routes. South Funen offers a suitable landscape for hiking and running enthusiasts with a 220 km continuous and marked route on the Archipelago Trail. The 75 km long South Funen horseback riding route and fine roads for road cyclists are also within a short distance from the estate. Cultural attractions include Fåborg Museum, Egeskov Castle, Heartland Festival or Brandts Klædefabrik, as well as countless local artisans and good restaurants.
All beds can be separated from a double bed to two single beds as desired. Discounts can be offered for longer stays.
