About this house rental
Gelskov is a historic building from 1700/1917 owned by a noble family since 1773. The main house was built in 1917 in an accomplished and beautiful neoclassical architectural style. The estate is decorated throughout with a large, private collection of French antiques and curiosities, where each room is unique with views and either morning or evening sun. Gelskov Estate, a fully equipped private home, is only rented out as a whole to groups, so you have the rented unit to yourselves. Everything you will need during your stay is here. Guests have access to a fully equipped, non-industrial kitchen.
A short drive away are sandy beaches, a golf course and the archipelago with several small, local ferry routes. South Funen offers a suitable landscape for hiking and running enthusiasts with a 220 km continuous and marked route on the Archipelago Trail. The 75 km long South Funen riding route and fine roads for road cyclists are also a short distance from the estate. Cultural attractions include Fåborg Museum, Egeskov Castle, Heartland Festival or Brandts Klædefabrik, as well as countless local craftsmen and fine restaurants.
All beds can be separated from a double bed to two single beds on request. Discounts can be offered for longer stays.
