The area below the apartment is well served by numerous seafood restaurants, but you will also find traditional Sicilian trattorias, pizzerias, and the famous “chioschetti,” small local spots offering street food at affordable prices, from the classic pane e panelle and crocchè to the famous spleen sandwich. There are also cafés serving delicious croissants and pastries, "ricotta cannoli", as well as nightlife venues where you can enjoy cocktails, beer, and dance on summer evenings.
Of course, there are also ice cream shops!
You will also find a supermarket and neighborhood stores, including fruit and fish markets, a butcher shop, bakery, tobacconist, and pharmacy, all just a few steps from the apartment entrance.
You can enjoy a beautiful day at the seaside or take a walk along the Barcarello waterfront and visit the protected natural reserve of . Access to the sea is approximately 100 meters away, about a 2-minute walk or 5 minutes by car.
You may either enjoy the free-access seaside area or relax at the beach club located just below the apartment (with both sandy and rocky areas).The coastline is mainly rocky; however, at Punta Barcarello, about 1.5 km away (5 minutes by bus or 17 minutes on foot), there is a free-access beach made of pebbles and gravel.
The center of Palermo, for example the famous Piazza Politeama, can be reached in about 17 minutes by car, 21 minutes by metro/train (around 5 stops), or 58 minutes by bus (bus line 628 or 616 to the stadium, then line 101 to Politeama).
The bus stop is located directly below the apartment.
The train stop, Sferracavallo railway station, is approximately 900 meters away, about a 13-minute walk.
