About this apartment rental
This is a newly renovated loft apartment on the first floor of a historic factory building. You have access to a private terrace garden area of approximately 80 square meters. It features 4 bedrooms and a large open living space with an integrated kitchen area. The building is situated in a quiet, green courtyard. The apartment is equipped with free high-speed internet, satellite TV, a stereo system, and many other useful appliances. In the late 1960s, this building received a great deal of publicity because the members of the so-called “Kommune 1”—who rebelled against the establishment—lived here. “Kommune 1” advocated for sexual liberation, much like the hippie movement in the United States. Some of the famous tenants include Fritz Teufel, Dieter Kunzelmann, Rainer Langhans, and Ulrich Enzensberger.
Parties or celebrations are not allowed.
The building is located in the backyard of a residential apartment complex in a residential area.
The apartment is located in the northern part of Tiergarten in the lively but not overly crowded neighborhood known as “Stephankiez.”
The nearest subway station (Birkenstrasse) and the nearest S-Bahn station (commuter rail) are about 700 meters away. Bus stops for line 123 are about 300 meters from the apartment, and the bus takes you to the main train station (Hauptbahnhof) in just a few minutes. From there, the political city center—including the Reichstag building and the Brandenburg Gate—is easily accessible.
The Berlin authorities require registration for overnight guests.
