Wooden cottage in Svaneti

The owner and her family are incredibly welcoming. The location is amazing for anyone looking for a peaceful retreat in nature, and the views are simply breathtaking. The house has everything you need.

I have been in love with Kichkhuldashi since I spent over a week camping here whilst working on the Transcaucasian Trail in 2023. The Wooden Cottage - which has only been opened this year - offers the opportunity to have your own space in this beautiful place. The host family will go out of their way to make sure your stay is a good one. We had a ride up and down the mountain track (very highly recommended) and had delicious authentic Georgian food brought to the cottage for breakfast and our evening meal. They also lit the wood burning stove since it was late in the season. Don’t expect the heights of luxury - that’s not what you come here for - but it’s perfectly comfortable. Try to spend more than one night if you can to properly soak up the beautiful surroundings

We truly enjoyed the kindness and generosity of all the family. They helped us in everything we needed and beyond (including driving us to the cabin since we were not able to drive the 4x4 car uphill in a very rainy day). The views from the cabin to the mountains are just amazing. The homemade dinner was really delicious (completely worth it!).

All was really great. To add something, the mattress was a bit hard, but it was solved placing a thick blanket provided by the owner :)

Everything was amazing.The breathtaking views, the cozy cottage, and especially the warm and welcoming host. It is the perfect place to spend quality time with friends and explore the incredible nature of Svaneti. Horse-riding tours were also available, which made our stay even more memorable. The price was surprisingly affordable compared to the wonderful experience we had. I would definitely recommend Wooden Cottage Svaneti!

There was nothing we didn't like. Everything was wonderful.
