Hostel New Brothers

Great place to stay if you want to be a bit out of the way in a quieter part of Pana - I very much needed this after completing 6 weeks volunteering at a social hostel. The host is a lovely man who was happy to help with anything I needed help with, his wife is lovely too. If ever I need a place to stay I feel I have a second home here. I was fortunate to have the room to myself, and felt like I was renting my own little apartment for a hostel price. They also offered for me to use the washing machine for only 30q, but as there was no dryer and I wasn’t sure how long my stay would need to be I went to a different place that offered drying. I ended up staying a total of 4 nights, I was only in Pana as my volunteer position in Santa Cruz was ending and I needed somewhere to stay while waiting for my shuttle to El Paredon, but found it to be the perfect base to explore other towns from and felt safe the whole time. The hostel gave me a much needed bit of alone time, but the host was also happy to chat when we would be together in the kitchen.

I liked everything as it suited my needs perfectly, but if you are looking for a lively/party hostel in the centre of everything then this isn’t the one for you. However, it was only a short walk from the town centre so if you are on a budget you can stay here and still enjoy the fun of Pana.
