Villa Marini Dvori - with free parking

The host was amazing. Very kind , hospitable and helpful. The garden was a walled garden with a little chapel inside and a tortoise family. The views from the terrace were so relaxing in the evening.

Everything was perfect

The hospitality of the host, Mara was excellent - nothing was too much trouble and she gave us lots of information on the area as well as complimentary home jams and lemonade! The setting was beautiful with the historic chapel and peaceful gardens. The accommodation was spotless and spacious with a homely lounge and effective and quiet air conditioning throughout. The kitchen was also the most well equipped we have encountered in a self catering facility. There are plenty of restaurants and bars nearby and all the beaches had beautifully clear water. The island of Lokrum and Sveti Jakov beach were well worth visits.

At the time of our visit, the closest beach, Sunset Beach, had no sunbeds or toilet facilities following the closure of the operator. As a result, the demand for sunbeds, etc., at the next beach, Lapad, was such that none were usually available after 11am. Dubrovnik Old Town was unique with stunning scenery but somewhat spoiled by the crowds and the expense!

The communication from the hostess prior to our arrival and the gorgeous welcome set the tone for our holiday. It was so lovely! Mara was available throughout our stay to answer questions about where to visit and what to see - local, ‘inside’ information. She made special events extra special, completely above and beyond our expectations. The villa, it’s more than that, is truly unique with such history. I was lucky to meet the tortoises and feed them. The church on site is remarkable. Everything you would need is steps away, supermarkets, restaurants, beautiful beaches and scenery. The old town is minutes away via bus. We thoroughly enjoyed our two week stay and will absolutely be returning to this beautiful place. Thank you Mara!
