Seggat Farm Holiday Cottages

We booked the Keepers Cottage and the Garden Cottage as we were a group of 8 friends. It had enough parking space and the Wifi was good as there was no telephone reception. In the Keepers Cottage (set up for 6 people) - the beds were very comfortable, the best sleep in a long time. The Garden cottage (setup for 4 people) had a great setup for more than 4 people for eating meals. The space in the rooms was also great. The kitchen setup in this cottage, was brilliant (except it had a smaller fridge than the Keepers Cottage); unfortunately, we could not use it due to the group setup. There were a lot of places to walk, so it was great for being out in nature.

HQ was the Keepers Cottage for meals as it had the bigger fridge. Unfortunately, it was not set up to handle more than 3 people re sitting down to eat meals, even though the cottage can handle 6 people in it. I didn't realise the setup did not have a dining table setup to handle 6+ people. There is a table in this kitchen but only usable for 3 people. The table is extendable; however, but there was no way of using it due to the limited space in the kitchen, which was a pity. Space in some of the bedrooms and bathrooms was very tight as well. The maroon couch was very uncomfortable, and the wooden chairs' cushions had no padding. So sitting together in the lounge was not a relaxing experience. The Garden cottage (setup for 4 people) had a great setup for more than 4 people for eating meals. Unfortunately, the way we were set up we could not make use of that. If the Garden cottage had a bigger fridge, I would probably have swapped HQ for this cottage, as it was set up much better in general and more spacious.

The host did not reply to my initial message which was not helpful.

Was really warm and the beds were comfortable.

Needs a complete upgrade. You don’t expect luxury but the kitchen is poor and the crockery broken , carpets stained.
