Situated well for travelling throughout the forest, great location for cyclists and walkers. Dog friendly too. Attached to a pub that serves lovely food for great prices and the hosts and the staff were very friendly and welcoming.

Nothing. Everything you need is in the apartments, very clean and really comfortable beds.

We had a wonderful one-night stay at Brewery Lodge and only wish we could have stayed longer. We arrived after a hike around Mallards Pike, and the warm welcome at this family-run pub immediately made us feel at home. The two-bedroom apartment was cosy, spotless, and full of thoughtful touches—chocolates, a bottle of wine, milk, tea and coffee, condiments, and even bathroom toiletries. The towels were incredibly fluffy and everything smelled beautifully fresh. We also enjoyed a lovely meal in the on-site restaurant, which was a real bonus. Our dog Cody was made very welcome too—his highlight was meeting a friendly donkey in the field opposite, which happily came over for some grass and a few nose rubs! Fantastic value for money in a great location. We’d absolutely stay again—next time for longer.
