Not a dislike as they are renovating and have a priorities list which the accommodation bathrooms are on but they do need updating

It was a nice cosy pub. It was ideal for what we needed. Staff were great. Clean and comfy beds.

I hadn’t realised that the rooms didn’t have bathrooms.. but it wasn’t a problem. Felt a bit expensive £100 for a room with a bathroom.

We knew that the pub/hotel was under renovation before we arrived , the two guys are doing their best and I have no doubt that they will achieve what they’ve started out to do . Food was brilliant, both evening meal and breakfast, but be prepared to wait for your food and drinks because one is behind the bar (until the kitchen bell rings and then he dashes to the kitchen to get the meals and deliver them before apologising for the wait when he returns to the bar) and obviously the other guy was in the kitchen, I think they would have normally coped but a crowd of 15+ plus descended on the place

Understaffed, were we unlucky to be there when 15+ arrived unannounced and wanted food? I was in the queue for drinks for 15 minutes at the bar and my food had arrived 10 minutes whilst I was in the queue, poor lad from behind the bar didn’t know whether he was coming or going! Lady waiting for pot of tea for 1/2 hour because he was that busy running in between bar and kitchen and serving the food he forgot her
