Absolutely beautiful little place so peaceful and quiet.

The property is situated and hidden away from the owner’s property surrounded by trees and an orchard so if you’re worried about privacy don’t be .This little shepherds hut is beautiful and cosy with all that you need for your stay and the bed is also really comfy.The shower and toilet is just a little walk away and is very clean and cosy with a heater to warm it up if you find it a bit cold.Again this is also private so no need to worry about that.It really is a little gem of a place so you won’t be disappointed.Our host was amazing with fresh eggs and bread waiting for us when we arrived oh and a bottle of milk which we thought was a nice little touch.Our host Julie greeted us when we arrived with her beautiful springer spaniel called Niko and he was such a well behaved dog I wanted to bring him home with me , Niko loves a little fuss and enjoys being around .I have to hand it to Julie she is an amazing host and the shepherds hut is truly beautiful you won’t be disappointed.

There’s nothing to dislike about the hut it’s just amazing.

Beautiful Mountain View.

I would definitely recommend Mountain View. The shepherd's hut is in a peaceful private area. The sound of the birds and other wildlife is beautiful. The owner couldn't do enough for us. She was so friendly, but let us get on and enjoy our stay. Lovely small orchard, garden is very well looked after and so pretty. Inside the hut is very nice too. It was warm and comfortable and very clean.

Really get away from it all and store up some delightful memories

Dinky little shepherd's hut, very pleasing in its simplicity, like a real little home from home despite its small dimensions. Bed very comfortable. Stable door means you can close the bottom half and leave the top open a crack for ventilation. Stunning view from back window especially, looking over a wildflower meadow and up to the brow of the hill (or mountain) behind. Well positioned seating in front to look around and enjoy the view of apple trees heavy with ripe fruit. The welcome pack of fresh eggs, butter and bread was extremely useful and very much appreciated. The owners were charming, kind and helpful. Their home is a good distance away so there is privacy.

The bathroom block is separate, which gives you the opportunity to hear owls at 2am! I did not manage to get the shower to work but as it was on the last day I did not bother to raise this with the owners. I would have appreciated a couple of coat hangers in addition to the row of hooks on the wall. Instructions on how to work the oven would have helped. When it rains the TV reception deteriorates!

Peace and quiet, nothing but bird song, everything there you would need. Toilet and shower in a separate building, but for your use only. Friendly, helpful owners, easy to park right alongside cabin.

Great ‘switch off’ holiday cabin in beautiful location

Lovely location and facilities. Very clean and well maintained. Hosts were very welcoming!

The entrance into the property might be difficult for small engine cars, as it’s a steep incline. My car couldn’t get to the top and it was awkward to reverse out

Perfect retreat for two..

This property is exceptional. Everything you needed was there, toilet & shower room was very clean. Location was fantastic, completely invisible from the road. The owner was a delight who saw us when we arrived and again when we left. No wifi or mobile phone signal in the valley made for a perfect three night stay. It was lovely to hear kids actually playing outside not far from the property till it got dark. Dark clear sky at night was perfect for a spectacular display of the milky way. Thanks
