Saris Room's is a young family business and the host of these apartments is extremely hospitable, Christine & her husband George greeted me with their youngest daughter at the port and driving less than 4min to my apartments. I would recommend good rubber sandals and shoes because there are a lot of hills and steps. Turn right or turning left from the apartments to see the port or to see the sunrise or sunsets... you need to be ready for the hill climbs. So I was grateful for the drive to my place♡ The room is pristine. The shower has hot and cold water which is fab for someone like me who enjoys a hot shower. The room's balcony is perfect catching glimpses of the Castle of Astypalea and the city. Better views if you climb the hills♡ There was Water and Juice and plenty of treats which was super thoughtful. I LOVED being near the church and a little coffee shop called Veranda for Freddo Cappacinos and freshly baked goods and the mini market next to it Eva helps you with local recommendations and is a total sweetheart. This apartment suite is so central. Took me 10min to get to Chora and to the windmills and took me 20min to get to the castle. The AstyMove App with their electric running taxi/bus you pay 10e for the day for 6 hop on and off destinations which was brilliant and easy to use and set up. The room was super comfortable. I loved the little kitchen and all the amenities. Here for 3 nights was not enough. However, perfect for getting to know the locals and the amazing thing is once you know Christine, it is easy to get in touch and book directly with her for more visits. I loved my stay. From the hosts, to the space of the apartment, the fresh towels and the bamboo toothbrushes, to the lovely balcony looking up to history on the hill top...it is a magical experience indeed. I will be back now that I know Christine and Saris Rooms.
