About this apartment rental

La Loggia

This property is a 300-year-old farmhouse and originally belonged to the Fattoria di Brolio. Situated in the heart of the Chianti Classico and in the immediate vicinity of the famous Castello di Brolio. The property is located in a quiet and idyllic valley surrounded by cypresses and oak woods, behind the house there is a stream, the "Dudda". On the estate there is a holiday home, the Capanna, for two people and a holiday flat, La Loggia, for a maximum of four people. It is possible to rent both together if you are on holiday with friends or family but would like to stay separately. Both accommodations are equipped with a fridge, coffee machine, toaster, satellite TV (German programmes) and garden furniture. The owners also live in this special, harmonious place in the main house on the first floor. The family includes a dog named Lucky, four cats, four sheep, ducks, geese and chickens that greet you with the crowing of the rooster in the morning, an ideal environment for a moment of tranquillity and yet "civilisation" is only a few steps away. In front of the entrance, you can dine in the evening in the wonderful loggia and end the day in peace from the stress of everyday life. This flat also has a private garden. The pool (no private pool, unless you rent both units together) is open from June to mid-September. Holiday flat on the ground floor of the main house with private garden On the ground floor of the main house, the flat has been newly renovated and furnished with great attention to detail, including hand-woven pieces from our own workshop. The flat with approx. 68m² has two bedrooms, a large one with a double bed (160 x 190cm) and a smaller one with two single beds (80 x 190cm), suitable for four people. There is also a bathroom with shower, WC, bidet and a large, well-equipped eat-in kitchen. It is possible to add an extra baby cot. A perfect place to relax from the stress of everyday life and an ideal starting point for excursions to historic cities such as Siena, Florence, Arezzo, as well as medieval towns such as Montepulciano, Pienza and S.Gimignano. The nearest shopping facilities are in Gaiole (approx. 7 km), where there are several shops, post office, banks, pharmacy and restaurants. Heating is available for a fee (charged on a separate meter). A baby cot can be provided for a fee. This must be booked in advance. An external laundry room is available. A mobile barbecue can also be provided on request. The accommodation is suitable for families with children. They are not wheelchair accessible and pets are not allowed. Long-term tenants are welcome. There is a hand weaving workshop on the premises run by the owner, the wool from her own sheep is hand spun and dyed with natural materials (from her own garden). Everyone is welcome to visit the workshop with its traditional old handlooms and precious unique pieces. The access road is 200 metres long, unpaved and easy to drive on. There is a car park on the premises.
