    This was my home for 2 days in Ipoh and its just 10 minutes away from the Train station, situated at Market Lane and a lot of food options around! I felt safe even if im the only one in the dorm haha nothing scary at all! The bed has a comfty blanket and two soft pillows! Made me sleep well. Facilities are well maintained, common area is clean, Uncle is nice and even his small dog is cute! He speaks good english and will greet you everytime he sees you! He also makes recommendations! I enjoyed my stay here and I felt safe and comfortable during my entire stay. Highly recommended!!!

    Clean facilities, comfortable bed! Newly refurbished with eclectic vibes. Owner was amazing, went above and beyond to ensure a comfortable and pleasant stay. Such a lovely, friendly and kind gentleman. Close to everything in old town, easy to walk from train station (~10mins) and shops and restaurants. As others have mentioned, lots of internal steps, so be prepared to carry luggage. Owner was very kind and assisted me with this. Would definitely recommend if staying in old town Ipoh.

    The two staff members are absolutely wonderful, helpful and insightful about Ipoh. However, Market Street was renovated into a touristy Instagram location. Which results is crowds of people in a narrow street taking selfies. This makes it an obnoxious place to move around with luggage or hail a Grab. The photos don't really capture how steep the staircase is. Both when entering and leaving the hostel it felt like I could easily tumble down. But, once in the room it was nice and quiet. Every floor has water dispensers that automatically adjust to your bottle or cup's height. Maybe this place would be ideal as a 20-something backpacker. But, if you're on a holiday from work I'd look elsewhere.
