You'll also be able to take advantage of a nearby kayak launch for exploring the marsh and wetlands. The Yellow River, Petenwell Lake, and Castle Rock Lake each offer year-round fishing, swimming, and boating opportunities. You'll find a bevy of charming local shops, bars, and restaurants in the nearby village of Necedah. The property is comprised of a separate cabin and renovated barn, each fully furnished for standalone living. Each home also includes its own firepit area and a gas grill for added flexibility. Property was great for the Christmas party and family time together. Enjoyed the experience. It's a older cottage but has been updated nicely. Had everything we needed.

We loved the accommodations. Everything was spotless and just as it was represented online. However, the water was incredibly smelly (like sulfur-or something). Not sure if this is just the nature of the water up here or if it was specific to the cabin. I wish there had been a disclaimer.

I would recommend staying here but I felt they missed the mark a bit. BEWARE checking in, they issue a 4 digit code to get in when you need a 10 digit code. After getting inside the buildings the cleanliness and ammentities were spot on! They had all the utinsels for cooking meals which was very much appreciated. The well pump did run many times when water was not running and the well alarm went off twice - but i trust by speaking with Vacasa that wilp be fixed. Note you only have access to 2 of the 3 buildings so when evaluating the space via photos mind that you do not go in to the middle pole shed it is padlocked. Vacasa only allows one tp per person so if youre staying a while bring your own. Very relaxing and fun place to get away and experience fun times. Lots of games to keep all ages entertained for days. Although no juke box and some of the photos are old because the rooms have been rearranged and updated. Grateful for the opportunity to stay there and it was a blast overall.
