SEA RANCH AND THE COAST The Sea Ranch is a nature lover's paradise, with tidepools, wildflower meadows, and redwood groves at your doorstep. Nearby highlights include community heated pool (North) (a short 5-minute walk), Shell Beach tidepools (6-minute drive), The Sea Ranch Lodge restaurant, lounge and café (6-minute drive). Between the coastal trails, tidepools, heated pools, and The Sea Ranch Lodge's restaurant, you could fill a week without leaving the community. Gualala's grocery stores and restaurants are a ten-minute drive north when provisions run low. From Madrone Cottage, Jenner and Bodega Bay make easy scenic day drives south.
Madrone Cottage puts Shell Beach, Bluff Trail, Del Mar within easy reach for daily outings.

Guest Access:
You will have full access to the entire home and all its amenities during your stay. The private hot tub is available around the clock -- no reservation needed. This home welcomes up to 1 dog -- the yard and nearby trails are ready for your pup. Driveway parking is available at the property. Detailed check-in instructions, including the door code, will be provided prior to your arrival. As a guest, you also have access to Sea Ranch community amenities including the pools, tennis courts, fitness center, and miles of trails. A recreation pass will be provided.

Getting Around:
The drive from San Francisco is approximately 2.5 hours via Highway 101 to Highway 1. Fly into Charles M. Schulz-Sonoma County Airport (STS) in Santa Rosa, about 1.5 hours east, and rent a car. The Highway 1 drive along the coast is spectacular and worth building into your travel day.

Sea Ranch has three recreation centers with heated pools, saunas, and tennis courts. Access passes are provided with your stay -- check availability upon arrival as these shared amenities can be popular during peak times.
Exterior lighting is minimal by design to preserve the stunning dark sky -- bring a flashlight for evening walks and enjoy some of the best stargazing on the California coast.
Visit in spring and the meadows explode with wildflowers. April through June is peak bloom season along the Sonoma Coast. The warmest months are June through September. Expect coastal fog most mornings that gives way to sunny afternoons.
Cell service can be spotty along the coast. The home has WiFi for staying connected.
