About this house rental
The property has 8 bedrooms, including a small single room (for an adult, child or baby), for a total capacity of 15 guests.
Each bedroom is designed to accommodate either a couple, two children or two adults. The beds can be separated very easily.
There are 4 bedrooms each with their own ensuite bathroom with shower, toilet and washbasin, and a small room between two of the bedrooms which can accommodate a child close to their parents.
3 bedrooms share two bathrooms (one with bathtub and one with shower) and a separate toilet.
A ground-floor bedroom with its own bathroom can accommodate guests with reduced mobility.
The living area of around 100 m² includes a large, very bright cathedral-style lounge, a dining room and a spacious open-plan kitchen with central island. This living space opens directly onto a large south-facing terrace of around 80 m² and a large orchard of about 1 hectare.
The large hall provides direct access to the bedrooms and living area, as well as to the garage, which can store around 15 bicycles and houses the washing machines and tumble dryers. The hall also has a platform for storing kayaks, canoes or paddleboards, an accessible toilet, a pantry/back kitchen and a cloakroom for adults and children.
An outdoor shower near the hall adds to the number of showers in the house and, above all, allows you to come back from the beach without dirtying the house (bringing the total number of showers to 6).
The project was completed in 2025 and 2026, based on an old farmhouse that was rebuilt identically in line with traditional Breton heritage codes, with a large timber-frame extension added onto a former meadow that has been turned into an orchard with 32 young apple trees intended for local cider and apple juice, using old varieties sought after by cider makers in Morbihan, Brittany.
The architect-owner who designed the property chose bio-based materials to ensure comfort in line with sustainable development requirements, favoring natural, preferably local materials (local cedar and stone reclaimed from the original buildings on the site). The insulation, together with a dual-flow ventilation system that recovers heat, aims to meet passive house standards, with triple-glazed windows and adjustable external blinds on the large south- and west-facing windows. This provides excellent summer comfort, especially when temperatures rise to around 30°C. A rainwater harvesting tank supplies the six toilets in the house. Hot water is provided by thermodynamic tanks with a total capacity of about 600 liters.
The light local stone and exposed wood create a warm, bright atmosphere, enhanced by the large windows that capture sunlight and offer wide views over the property.
With its large grounds (around 1 hectare), the property offers plenty of parking, easily accommodating 5 to 7 vehicles, or more as long as the orchard is respected.
The orchard includes areas where many fruit trees (red fruits, etc.) are developing, perfect for picking.
Bed linen and towels are available as an optional extra at a rate of €25 per person per stay.
