About this country house rental
Adjoining our house, it has its own independent entrance at garden level.
This private garden features a table under the large maple tree, a barbecue, a trampoline, children's games, and sun loungers.
On the 1st floor: living room, kitchen, bedrooms, bathroom... with views over the property: a medieval garden and the fields where our horses graze. EQUIPMENT AVAILABLE FOR YOUNG PARENTS: high chair, stroller, baby carrier backpack, changing table, changing mat, activity mat, wooden toys, baby bathtub, potty, toilet seat reducer, etc.
If you're looking for rest, the calm of the property will be more than enough, and your children will enjoy our friendly two- and four-legged companions: sheepdogs, a Shetland pony, dwarf goats, as well as hens and our goose "Choupette." There's nothing better for a child than collecting the egg you'll eat that evening!
For those who need to stay connected, we have FIBER access with WIFI 6 available throughout the gîte, as well as a multimedia sound system (CD, Bluetooth, FM, DAB, and USB) and a multimedia TV.
In Montendre (2km away), you'll find all the shops you need for your stay, as well as plenty of activities to relax with: a leisure park, swimming pool, lake with a wake park, tree-top adventure course, rope course, paintball and gel ball, tennis, padel, golf, fishing, mountain biking and hiking trails, or simply peaceful rest on the many benches and picnic tables. On Thursday mornings, you can stroll around or do your local shopping at the market. There's also a small producers' market on Saturday mornings, and the Tuesday evening night market brings the little town to life with its festive summer events. The independent/art-house cinema can also welcome you for an evening out.
Montendre's tourist information office will help guide your outings: a visit to Jonzac (15km away) with a swim at "Les Antilles" (aquatic and leisure center). Or why not an evening at the casino?
If you'd like to explore the region further, a visit to the church of Talmont-sur-Gironde, the Citadel of Blaye, or a walk through the forest, the bocage countryside, or the vineyards will delight you.
Local producers will welcome you to discover: pineau, Blaye wine, local beer, farm-raised pork, goat cheese, asparagus, and more.
