Enjoy wonderful waterside views and a cosy atmosphere in this welcoming family home that comes complete with a crackling wood burner in the dining room.


Step inside the cottage and immerse yourself in the light and airy semi-open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. This welcoming room features a large dining table for enjoying family meals and a fabulous wood burner, perfect for those chillier nights. Moving to the lounge, you’ll discover comfortable furniture, providing an ideal space to unwind with your favourite films after a day of adventures. The well-appointed kitchen offers all the appliances needed for a stress-free stay, and a family shower room completes the ground floor. As night falls, head upstairs to your choice of three bedrooms. Two bedrooms boast a king-size bed, with one having the added luxury of an en-suite shower room, while the family bedroom offers a double and a single bed. Stepping out the front door, you’ll find a gated enclosed courtyard where you can sit and enjoy a drink and enjoy the fresh sea air, and at the back of the house there is an additional enclosed patio courtyard. The property also offers a small portable pool table, a selection of board games, and an array of books for entertainment.


Appledore, with its rich maritime history showcased at the North Devon Maritime Museum, is renowned for its thriving arts and crafts scene, with numerous galleries and gift shops. Meander through the charming winding streets, lined with pastel-toned fishermen’s cottages and a fantastic selection of pubs, cafes, and restaurants where you can sit and observe the lively activities on the bustling waterways. From Appledore Quay, a popular spot for angling and crabbing, you can join local fishing trips or catch the ferry to Instow during peak months. For surf enthusiasts, the famous Westward Ho! beach is 3 miles away. Cyclists will enjoy the Tarka Trail, located 3 miles from the car, and if you don’t bring bikes, you can hire them from Bideford Bike Hire. Alternatively, embark on a boat journey to the scenic National Trust-managed Lundy Island. For fun-filled family enjoyment, head to The Big Sheep farm 4 miles away or the Milky Way Adventure Park, 11 miles from home.
