Wrexham Llyndir Hotel by Belvilla

Booked this hotel on the ‘value for money’ and photographs shown. Turns out they are from around 2020 when the hotel was doing well. However, when we arrived rooms weren’t ready, then miraculously they were, but in that brief moment you opened your eyes and realised the photographs were a lie. Hotel was very dirty and staff quite useless, only promising free parking if we gave them a good review. One couple didn’t even check in and just left! On entering the room we had to ask for more towels, coffee, tea, milk, etc. walls were in need of a coat of paint. However bed clean and as in the middle of nowhere we were inclined to stay. We were told to be back by midnight as the main door would be locked. On getting a taxi the driver told us it had been 5 years since he had picked up from there as it was a migrant hotel. Which when we returned we found out as we couldn’t gain entry, so went around the outside of the hotel to try and find someone to let us in. And behold, rooms with people in that didn’t fit the stereotypical mid Whales description. After 40 mins we finally got in where staff claimed they were unaware of our arrival despite us ringing the bell, the phone and vigorously banging the window. Up early the next morning, no showers and gone, happy to see it disappear in rear view mirror. I have stayed in some questionable places, but this is on of the worst.
