Town: As well as being a delightful suburb of Weymouth, Chickerell is historically classed as a small town. These days it has more of a village vibe and offers village shops, pubs and restaurants as well as being serviced by the local bus service. There are plenty of great activities on the doorstep in Chickerell with Chesil Beach and Bennetts Water Gardens, two of the most popular. Chickerell is located just 2.9 miles from Weymouth’s award winning beach with its golden sands and shallow water. There is also a lively harbour with restaurants, cafés and bars as well as a town centre with all the local and high street amenities. The Isle of Portland is 6 miles away and offers spectacular views over the Jurassic coast line and the famous Portland Bill lighthouse.
