It was lovely, we had two adults and two children, enough room for all of us. Was very clean and made up lovely.

There was no sign post at all with little instruction or direction to the site. I called the number and was told just to look at the board. I have done a lot of glamping before and felt a little more direction would have been more welcoming. We had a sentence left in the board pointing to our name after the call stating “no reception” which I felt was a little rude as I simply called to ask where the site was and how do we check in ! Communication is key in the hospitality industry so that made us feel a little unwelcome

Maesbury Meadows is a good option if what you are looking for is a glamping tent to use as a base for excursions. All the facilities are new, and the showers are good. Each tent has its own log burner/pizza oven with plenty of wood available, along with a fire pit outside the tent. There is plenty of parking, and the site is on a working farm so you can expect visits from the local cow herd and horses nearby.

The site could move from good to great with a few additions or clarifications on the listing. There is no power in the tents themselves, so charging phones, etc. needs to be done in the shared kitchen. Each tent has its own kitchen utensils, but there are only two of each, so it's worth bearing in mind if there are more than two of you. There is one picnic table between the three tents, so it's a lucky dip whether you get a tent with a table not.
