A true rural escape within a 25-acre estate in the stunning Somerset countryside, perfect for walkers and bikers with footpaths and trails from the doorstep.. All on the Ground Floor:

Bathroom: Bath With Shower Over, Heated Towel Rail, Toilet. Oil fired central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Cot and Highchair. Gravelled garden with decking, patio, sitting out area, garden furniture and barbecue. 25 acre grounds. Electric car charging point (by prior arrangement). Private parking for 8 cars. No smoking. Please note: No stag or hen parties. Couples, family bookings and holiday makers only. This property has a natural water supply from a spring.. Marigold offers modern contemporary living space combined with the cosiness and comfort of a country retreat. The barn has an open plan feel with exposed beams a chic wall mounted fire and full glass doors that all open onto a small decked garden - perfect for summer BBQs or socialising after a busy day exploring the surrounding Mendip Hills an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. There is plenty of room outside as the barn is set on a small private estate with the additional attraction of some very nosey alpacas. A paddock can even be provided for visiting horses with more details on stabling available on request.
Marigold is part of a recently renovated farm complex and can be booked with Primrose ref (M163151) for larger family gatherings.
Marigold is approached via a secluded and stunning tree-lined private drive. Although the barn is tucked away in the beautiful and relaxing Somerset countryside it is in fact only two miles from the historic market town of Shepton Mallet five miles from the beautiful medieval city of Wells and within ten minutes drive to Bath park and ride service. In addition it is close to the Royal Bath and West Showground and is also conveniently located for the world-famous Glastonbury music festival. This really is a perfect location to visit everything that is on offer in the great area of the south west of England.

This cottage is immaculate, well equipped and very comfortable. Looks as though it was renovated yesterday not a few years ago. It is far more spacious than it appears in the photos. The location, at the end of a long track is peaceful and relaxing yet within easy cycling distance of several local towns and villages and is an ideal base for exploring the area.The owners are on hand if needed and are very accommodating, friendly and easy going. We would highly recommend staying at Marigold cottage!

The house was ideal. It was spacious and had everything we needed. It is in a quiet spot but within easy travelling of the various sites and towns nearby. Rarely had to travel more than 30 minutes. There is a garden which was ideal for sitting in though the weather was mixed. Would like to be there in a sunny spell.

We managed to spend our 3 days here with gale force winds and storm warnings but it was still lovely, clean and comfortable with lovely decor. We’d have liked food waste bags so that w e could recycle properly, and an earlier arrival time as we arrived in the dark and pouring rain and so had a struggle to access the key and the front door lock, but we had diligently waited until the allotted 5pm! Loved the llamas!
