Kelsingra Self Catering

An idyllic location overlooking the sea. Tasteful, comfortable interior. Elizabeth was a delightful host.

The only minor drawback was the lack of a dining table, but the layout of the room would make that difficult, and we managed well enough with what was available.

Fantastic location with beautiful sea views over Dales Voe. Our visit coincided with the spectacular delivery by Pioneering Spirit (world's heaviest ship) of the North Cormorant drilling platform for decommissioning across the water. We were made welcome by Elizabeth, the host. The accommodation is very eco-friendly, well insulated and even came with Ecover cleaning sundries. The place is provisioned by Starlink internet access as the mobile signal in that area is very poor. Beware that some older VPNs won't work with Starlink - if you're trying to work remotely.

Nothing to complain about. The only improvement I would make is to add a coffee machine.

Beautifully presented and in a gorgeous location-remote yet just 15 minutes’ drive from Lerwick. Fabulous view from our bedroom window. Clean, comfortable, great facilities.
