Easterhoull Chalets

Provision for ice as I said to the host Sarah none for my g and t but everything else was fabulous

The chalet was small but spacious for a holiday at the same time. Everything you need is in there. What is great is they recycle too. Also the location is very central to the island a d not far from the ferry.

The steps! Unfortunately there is no ramp down to the chalets this means it's not disabled friendly. Shame because its mainly on the flat with one small step to get in to the chalet, except the first 15 or so steps. They would need to put in a ramp somewhere and a disabled designated parking bay at the top and A small temporary ramp could be fitted to the first chalet door to overcome the one step. The biggest outlay would be to put in the ramp. Also one small criticism is there was no freezer in the fridge. We wanted to freezer our freezer blocks for the picnic and home journey. This could be overcome by a freezer in the laundry room, for all to use.

Good location within Shetland. Easy links to travel around.Good views for watching the weather happening.

Location

Single bed against wall was too short for anyone over 6ft tall. No hooks in shower room, or bedrooms for clothing or wet towels. You couldn’t walk around the double bed easily and heater was too close to the bed. The bedding smelt mouldy, including the duvet and pillows.
