It's a traditional Japanese house with tonnes of character. We really liked the home, and unlike the tiny apartments you get in big cities like Tokyo and Kyoto, it felt very roomy. The beds are comfortable and there's a projector for watching movies. The kitchen is well equipped.
There's few eating options in walking distance, particularly after dark. The washing machine was unplugged and there was a bare ground wire - we were too nervous to plug it in. There are mosquitos, but to be fair they had a mosquito coil burning when we arrived.
