About this apartment rental
It’s for people who want to settle in. And then realize that they suddenly have time.
Two separate bedrooms on the second floor of the granary, each with a good, comfortable double bed, ensure that even a group can stay comfortably—without constantly running into one another. Close the doors, and peace and quiet ensues. And one of the two bedrooms has a comfortable sleeper sofa.
The living area is open, bright, and deliberately unpretentious.
No overly stylized concept, just a space that works and feels good.
The entire apartment is plastered with clay, giving it a very special atmosphere.
The kitchen is fully equipped. And in a way that lets you actually cook.
Stove, refrigerator, coffee maker, dishwasher, plenty of dishes—it’s all there.
Plus spices, tahini, and cookbooks.
You can go out to eat. Or you can just stay here. Both have their charm.
The bathroom isn’t just an afterthought—it’s a real highlight.
Spacious, with a rain shower and a bathtub where you don’t just sit for a moment, but can really relax. Warm, quiet—just right after a long day outdoors.
And a balcony invites you—especially during the warmer months—to make yourself comfortable there, read, relax, or enjoy your dinner.
And then there’s what you can’t design:
Silence. Fresh air. Space.
In five minutes, you’re at the lake or in the middle of the forest.
No traffic, no noise—just trails, water, and that feeling that nothing is urgent.
There’s no TV. On purpose. Wi-Fi has to be enough.
Instead, there are conversations, books, thoughts, or simply doing nothing.
If you’d like, you can also use the relaxation room in the house or retreat to the Salzmann Library to read. Or work remotely at one of the countless workstations.
And for those who don’t want to take care of breakfast themselves in the morning: breakfast can be booked as an add-on.
Good to know:
The Kornspeicher is an old building with a rich history.
No sterile perfection here, but character, nooks, and crannies—and that’s exactly what makes it special.
The accommodations are not wheelchair accessible.
The house also features another, larger vacation apartment as well as seven guest rooms.
