Plus, when you want to stay closer to home, two decks and a gas grill will make summer cookouts a no-brainer! Be sure to pack ingredients to make s'mores as you enjoy the firepit by the Persimmon tree that inspired the home's name.
Find a bit of time to spend inside during your vacation as well because this waterfront escape features a bright interior complete with lake-themed decor, comfortable furnishings, and an open concept layout. Kick back in the living room to stream favorite movies as the chef of the group takes advantage of the modern appliances in the well-equipped kitchen. Clean, lovely home. Comfortable beds, great water pressure, great lake access. The back yard slopes down to the lake, so the walk back to the house was an uphill trek. This wasn’t a problem for us, great exercise, just a heads up. I wasn’t sure if there were 1 or 2 kayaks, and my two teenagers wanted paddle boards, so we rented 3 paddle boards for the week. I can confirm though- there are two kayaks on the property! So nice. My kids liked hanging out on the rooftop deck in the evening. Great location. 10-15 minutes from Food Lion (pharmacy in case you forget anything), Vito’s, the country store, and other spots in Mineral.Very peaceful and relaxing trip. We would love to go back:)

Kitchen and bathrooms were clean and fully equipped. The linens were clean. Everything was just as it was listed.

It was a good location and huge yard with functional dock. The kayaks were lots of fun. The main complaint was just the overall cleanliness of the home. I get that there are bugs when you’re on the lake but just the overall space felt a little dirty. However, we had a lot of rain so I think if the weather was nicer we would’ve been able to spend more time on the deck and rooftop deck and not minded the interior as much. Really lovely though to have easy access to the lake and the views were lovely. Sunset was serene.
