About this house rental
Originally, the vacation home “La Antigua Escuela” was a school in the Aguatavar neighborhood of Tijarafe, in the northwest of the island. It was lovingly restored by its new German owners and transformed into a unique vacation home. The house is ideal for a couple traveling with an older child.
Due to the fairly narrow and steep spiral staircase inside the house, this accommodations are not recommended for families with small children or people with limited mobility. Children must be at least 12 years old.
La antigua escuela:
A beautiful vacation home steeped in history, located directly on the GR 130 hiking trail and above Playa de Veta
(approx. 15-minute drive to the parking lot, followed by a 25-minute walk from there). The house spans two floors connected by a spiral staircase. The lower level features a large, separate kitchen as well as a living/dining area with a fireplace and sofa. The dining table offers a beautiful view of the sea. The upper level of the house contains the bedroom with a queen-size bed and a bathroom with a shower and toilet.
The glass-enclosed, covered entrance area provides additional natural light and naturally warms the house during the day in winter. In addition to the fireplace, an electric heater is available for guests.
The house features a small garden with two romantic seating areas and a barbecue.
The nearest restaurant is a few minutes away by car and about a 15-minute walk.
Aguatavar is located between Puntagorda and Tijarafe; the shopping and dining options in both towns are each a 12-minute drive away.
