The Space:
This detached holiday home has three bedrooms including a king-size, a double and a twin, along with a ground-floor bathroom. There’s also a kitchen/diner, a sitting room with a woodburning stove, a conservatory, and a study. Appliances include a gas oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher, and for entertainment there is a TV and WiFi. Outside, you will find a garden with a lawn and parking. Fuel, power, a starter pack for woodburning stove, bed linen and towels are all included in the rent. The nearest shop is 4.5 miles away, and the nearest pub is 0.1 mile. Sorry, this is a smoke-free home. Beech Cottage is a lovely base with Loch Views, perfect for a family holiday. Please note: There is a minimum stay of 3 nights at this property. Parking available for a maximum of 2 standard cars. One well behaved dog allowed Please note: check in days are Monday and Friday only. Please note: between July and August this property only accepts 7 night bookings with a Friday check in.
The Neighborhood:
Stornoway is the only town in the Outer Hebrides. It has a busy functioning harbour, stores offering native products like Harris Tweed, leisure facilities, and award-winning restaurants serving locally sourced food. Lewis is a Gaelic-speaking island. Lews Castle Grounds, Lews Castle, many good museums and art galleries, and a smart golf course and clubhouse will keep visitors busy. Large, peaceful sandy beaches are nearby and offer beautiful views.
