Please note: this property requires a minimum stay of 3 nights; during July, August and September only weekly bookings from a Friday can be accommodated. The Retreat has one king size bedroom with en-suite basin and WC, and one ground-floor king size. There's a ground-floor shower room with walk-in shower, basin, heated towel rail and WC. There's a kitchen equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge with ice box, washing machine, dishwasher, alongside a living/dining room. WiFi, fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Outside there’s an enclosed garden with furniture and hot tub. One well behaved dog welcome. Off road parking - please note: car charging is not allowed at the property. Sorry, no smoking. Nearest shop and pub in 4.7 miles. Escape to Cornwall at The Retreat.
The Neighborhood:
Bodmin, the one-time County Town of Cornwall with its narrow streets, shops and pubs, is perfectly placed for exploring all that this fabulous holiday area has to offer. The outstanding surf, rugged cliffs and hidden coves of the north coast beaches and the quieter sands and river estuaries of the south coast are both 15 miles away while on the edge of town is the fascinating museum and haunting presence of the old Bodmin Jail. The popular Camel Trail for cyclists and walkers also winds its way through the town on its journey to the sea at Padstow. Close by are the open spaces and wind swept grandeur of Bodmin Moor while the incomparable Eden Project (11 miles), Falmouth’s National Maritime Museum (30 miles) and the beautiful harbour town of Padstow with its famous pubs and restaurants (16 miles) make for great days out. Also within easy reach and ideal for a fun-filled day out, guests can visit Lanhydrock House, the small town of Fowey and Charlestown with its Tall Ships, The Eden Project and Lostwithiel. There is a good choice of country pubs and restaurants in the surrounding area.
