Studio Corniche vue Mer

Overall, we had a pleasant stay. I would give it 7.5. The location is the real highlight. It was exactly where we wanted to stay on the Corniche, and we ended up loving the area so much that we would happily have stayed longer. The bed was comfortable, the Smart TV was a nice addition, and the studio itself is cosy. We contacted the property managers immediately and, to their credit, they responded exceptionally quickly. The property manager came over almost straight away to check the situation, which we really appreciated. After burning incense for a day and a night, the smell disappeared and didn’t return for the rest of our stay.

When we arrived, there was unfortunately a very strong sewage smell outside the building, and the smell had also made its way into the apartment. I also showed him that the front door handle had actually come off, which didn’t inspire much confidence on arrival. He reassured us that the building is very safe and explained that relocating us wasn’t possible because everywhere was fully booked. Although the issue couldn’t be resolved immediately, I genuinely appreciated how responsive and helpful he was. There are a few maintenance details that, taken individually, are minor but together make a difference. The front door handle had come off, one chair was slightly chipped, the shower leaked when using the large overhead shower head (although the handheld shower worked perfectly), and the pillows weren’t particularly comfortable. The kitchenette is very basic. We were a little surprised to find that the coffee machine only works with Tassimo pods, so we had to go out and buy compatible capsules specifically for it. One thing worth mentioning is that the studio receives very little natural light. The only window faces the designated parking space, so most of the time the view is of a parked car, with the sea beyond it. It’s a little unusual, as you know the sea is there, but the parked car dominates the view. Despite these points, we genuinely enjoyed our stay. The location is fantastic and was exactly what we were looking for, and the responsiveness and kindness of the property management team made a real difference. With a few small maintenance improvements, this would be an excellent place to stay.
