We were double booked in the caravan so took the option offered by the owner of a small lodge not a caravan. It's location was good and OK for a two day stay but any longer would have been a struggle due to the size. The clubhouse on site was OK for a drink after a long day but it really catered for families with children and the amount of Door Supervisors was a bit of on over kill. We only used it the first night the second night we went to another site for a drink which was much more relaxed. OK for a short stay but not big enough for any longer. The hard standing for parking was an advantage so that won us over.
The lodge had 2 bedrooms with one small bed against a wall and 2 bunk beds in a small box room. I won the toss and opted for the bed and my wife took the bottom of the bunk beds, due to the lodge being very small the bedrooms were very tight to accommodate 2 Adults. I did have a concern for the electric supply whilst here, there were a number of 3 pin sockets but each had an extension lead running from them so we made sure we turned everything off when not there to air on the side of safety. The front double UPVC doors are very old and need renewing as we found out when we had difficulty in getting the key to work and the latches on the second door were seized. I finally got it working better after some TLC and a can of WD 40 spray. The lodge could do with some TLC to be honest as it's timbers need repairing and painting and the back of the lodge just looks like a dumping ground for old furniture broken storage boxes. Too small for us sorry.

The property was large, had amazing amenities, good access, the hosts were friendly and had good communication, the village was quiet but also had many things to do including food like the fish and chips bar, a pizzeria, a private beach, it was quite close to some large cliffs with amazing sights and more.
