AKUA VILLAS Mentawai

Akua Villas is a really special place in the Mentawais. What we loved most was how secluded and peaceful it felt, surrounded by jungle with no other resorts or crowds nearby. It really gives you that feeling of being somewhere remote and untouched. The villas are beautifully made with lots of natural timber and have a simple, stylish design that suits the setting perfectly. Everything was very clean and comfortable, with plenty of space and an extremely comfortable king-sized bed. The location was fantastic for our family! There are great surf breaks close by, as well as smaller waves that our kids could enjoy. We also loved snorkelling on the reef, which was surprisingly vibrant and full of colourful fish. There are some stunning little islands nearby to explore too, so there's plenty to do even if you're not surfing. Another big plus was how easy it was to get there. Once we arrived in Tuapejat on the Mentawai Fast, it was only a short drive to the villas and the whole transfer was really straightforward. A beautiful, quiet place to experience the Mentawais away from the crowds. We can't wait to return! Thank you for hosting us Rubi & Dani and the team at Akua!
