About this farm stay rental
The Il Poderino farmhouse, a farmhouse from 1825 that has been tastefully renovated trying to recover the original materials as much as possible, is located in the countryside of Chianni, a small medieval village in the heart of Tuscany between Pisa (43km) and Volterra (30km) as well as close to the charming town of Casciana Terme (6km). In addition to 3 independent bedrooms with bathroom (Margherita, Girasole and Rosa), the farmhouse offers 4 tastefully furnished apartments in Tuscan style, consisting of a bedroom, large living room with kitchenette in masonry and granite, with sofa, bathroom with box shower. The lodgings on the first floor, all with different panoramic views, which embrace rolling hills with arable land, olive trees and vines, are: Salvia which has a French window in the living room; Rosemary, the most collected, ideal for couples; Basil offering a triple. On the ground floor we find the Alloro accommodation, with access for the disabled, which will be equipped with crockery for the whole number of the group, electric and wood-burning oven, 217L fridge, microwave oven, blender and toaster, tables and chairs outside for the number of the people in the group.
At guests' disposal a large loggia equipped with tables, chairs and barbecue, wood-burning oven, infinity edge swimming pool*
completely sunny but equipped with a gazebo for fresh refreshments and entirely surrounded by a breathtaking panorama of iridescent natural colors in the various months of the year, green, red, yellow, bronze, ashy.
For free use of the guests, the completely exposed lounge with barrel vaults, once used for storing wines, where you will find dining tables, lounge area with TV, wifi (50GB per week included in the price), ping pong table, darts and playing cards on request.
The company is located in a strategic place, a perfectly placed starting point, close to the routes that lead to the beautiful art cities of Tuscany, Pisa, Volterra, San Gimignano, Florence, Lucca and many others.
Choosing to stay at our farmhouse means being able to decide to enjoy the relaxation of the real countryside, perhaps taking a dip in our swimming pool which is almost always gently ventilated, or quickly reaching the sea about half an hour away, or visiting the famous nearby cities of art as well as the suggestive and characteristic villages that are located around such as Chianni medieval village with nature trails, Terricciola with its wine cellars, Lari with its beautiful castle of the vicars, Casciana Terme with its wellness program and not only, Pontedera with its Piaggio museum, Laiatico with its Teatro del Silenzio conceived by the famous tenor Bocelli, the most particular amphitheater in Italy, Calci, a magnificent village example of Baroque with its Certosa, Palaia with its museum of peasant civilization, etc... maybe taking a walk by bike or on foot. *Swimming pool open from May to September depending on the weather conditions, for any other need, ask the owner of the business first. Cleaning costs are to be paid separately on site before departure, €15.00 per person for a minimum of €200.00 as heating costs which are extra according to consumption. Electricity costs are included up to a maximum of 100kw (the excess has a cost based on what will be the current rate, €1,00 for kw minimum). The possible use of heating also has a separate cost (euro 1.20 per cubic metre). Furthermore, in the case of booking with arrival or departure other than Saturday, a minimum of €150.00 is required, an amount to be agreed with the owner based on the period and conditions.

We had a wonderful 2 weeks in Tuscany. What a beautiful place! We loved the quiet peacefulness and the house was perfect for 15 of us. During the daytime you can use the perfect pool or take a sunbath on sun loungers. Great location to visit Pisa, Florence, San Gimignano, Volterra, Lucca & Sienna. The hosts Daniela & Danielle were amazing and nothing was a problem. Highly recommended! Thank you :)))

My five grands (ages 6-13) and their parents stayed with me at Poderino for a outstanding week of family fun. We all loved the pool and the came room with the long table for meals. The large kitchen was well supplied with the equipment we needed to prepare delicious meals. We enjoyed getting to know the hosts, Daniela and Daniele, and also the cute little orphan kitten. Location is great for persons with rental cars - easy access to Pisa, Firenze, Lucca, Volterra, and San Gimingano. I would love to return and do it all over again.

We had such a great time staying on this property. Daniela and her husband were the absolute best host. In fact, we accidentally left some items behind and she went out of her way to get them to us. Just one example of many of their hospitality. I highly recommend for a large family visit. There were 15 of us. And don’t forget to try their beer, which was exceptional. We will be back.

We had the most amazing time at Daniele and Daniela’s lovely farmhouse! First of all, this is a farmhouse but it is immaculate. Rustic, as you would expect, but well-apportioned with all amenities as listed. And so, so clean! The pool was beautiful - we were so happy to have a day to just relax by the pool after our hectic time in Rome.
Daniela was there when needed to make dinner reservations or give recommendations, but never intrusive. And they make the most amazing olive oil! We bought several bottles.
We were a large family of 12 persons. This place can easily accommodate more. Every bedroom has a bathroom which, quite frankly, spoiled us for the rest of our trip.
Location is definitely in the country with beautiful views in every direction. It is a drive to everywhere, but worth it to come home to such a relaxing place every evening.
I would without reservation recommend this lovely farmhouse. I miss it already.
