The Regent Collection City Apartment

The rating is not for this place but for an alternate stay I was provided by the host. Just before I was about to check-in, we get a call from the host to state that the place had a boiler issue and was then offered an alternate accommodation. The ownership taken by the host to offer an alternate accommodation was appreciable - in his words, the alternate place was an upgrade but personally, I had booked this apartment for swimming pool which was not available in the alternate accommodation. Additionally, I had booked this place for 2 nights, the alternate place offered was only for 1 night so had to move out the next day, which was mildly annoying but I was okay with it as I was able to find alternate one just 10 mins down the road. Also, appreciated that I was given the courtesy of late check-out owing to above which really helps when you are travelling with kids!

Kitchen oven / microwave were not clean and while we opted not to use Owen, we had to clean the microwave ourselves and use it. Bathroom in the master bedroom was clogged with hair (looked like it had not been cleaned for a long time) and I had to manually clean it otherwise it risked overflowing and water entering the bedroom. Now I understand that the host might have delegated this to cleaning company but this is the basic hygiene that should be checked regularly. Finally, it took three follow-ups to get the security deposit back so their claim of refunding it in 2-3 working days turned out to be 6-7 working days. Ideally, would appreciate if this task would be proactive rather than reactive.

Apartment itself had everything you needed. Straight forwards check in service, all instructions are clear. It could do with the kitchen having all the necessary utensils but other than that no issues.

Deposit was returned 11 working days after the completed booking. I had to contact the provider a couple of times to get the damage deposit returned.

The host was extremely welcoming and responsive from start to finish. The apartment was spacious, comfortable, and overall very clean. The location was also excellent and convenient. We had a really enjoyable stay and felt at home throughout our visit.

Great place to stay. Will be using them a lot more in future. Danyal is a great host: Great instructions. And offering advice and instructions in a really helpful manner. Location and Parking perfect. Apartment is to a very good spec. Everything you need in Kitchen including Tea, Coffee etc Shops nearby.
